How to become a morning person

Robert Breault says pristine jewel, and I quote, “One key to success is to have lunch at the time of day most people have breakfast.” Having an active lifestyle and achieving goals is a dream for all of us. The famous phrase “early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise” is a reality that some can understand. Here is a brief description of How to Become a Morning Person:

To be the early bird and get the worm, you need to change your mindset first. Know your goals and the cruciality to achieve them. It will give you the vigor to wake earlier and consume time efficiently. Make sunlight reach your bedrooms in the morning. Make your head start of the day with energetic foods and drinks.

The Concept of Sleep Chronotype:

A chronotype is a classification system used to help understand sleep and production schedules, including when you’re most active and alert throughout the day (1)

Knowing your chronotype will land you on better analyzing your body’s behavior throughout the day.

Everyone is unique in their way. Many helping tools can tell your category (2). Even if you are a night owl, your goal should be to orient your habits to be a morning person.

Benefits of Waking Up With the Glimmer of Dawn:

The temporal organization of sleep and circadian rhythms enable the coordination of a wide range of cellular and metabolic processes, which together allow stability and survival.

Morningness among younger adults is associated with higher positive affect across the day. (3)

When you wake up early, you have a body with energetic vibes and freshness. All the energy needed to make your daily progress is intrinsically endowed when you wake up early.

In a study at a Texas university, early birds had an average grade point average (GPA) that was a whole point higher than night owls (4). So I discussed the benefits of being a morning person and got a secret to have a good GPA. A true treasure!

In 2018, Vetter published a large, long-term study of 32,000 nurses showing that “early risers” were up to 27 percent less likely to develop depression (5).

Woah! Get rid of your depression by being a morning person. Which means it can have a positive effect on your mental wellbeing. It will make you physically active and will endow your soul with a lively routine.

How to Be an Early Bird?

Very Simple:

  • Sleep at a place where the sunlight can reach you in the morning.
  • Keep your alarm at a distance from yourself so that the sound provokes you to wake up and shut it yourself.
  • Be ambitious! Know why you being a morning person can make a difference.
  • Schedule your routine. Know your bedtime and try to wind things up before sleep.
  • Tricking yourself into seeing just one more episode of a series is tempting. Fight against yourself. Early to bed can make you wake up earlier. And believe me, once you get compatible with a good morning habit, you would not even need an alarm to wake you up.
  • Don’t forget to treat yourself by having a good breakfast!
